The Economy Library was established in the Ministry of Trade in order to enrich the knowledge and expertise, to increase competitive economic analysis and intelligence abilities, to contribute to the personal development and to strengthen the Ministry's leadership role in the Turkish economy in the economic policy management process.
The printed resource capacity of the library is arranged as approximately 17 thousand (Seventeen Thousand) at the beginning.It contains books in Economics and Finance mainly in English version as well as Economics and Finance boks in Turkish version.It also contains periodicals covering significant journals and newspapers.
In addition to printed resources, the library offers electronic books, electronic journals and article databases as well as media/news and journals which are published at various intervals that important news sources of different countries of the world are screened to the users.
Amongst, it is possibe to access internationally accredited news and business resources, deep and comprehensive information on "business people, companies and sectors" from hundreds of news sources worldwide, recognition and follow-up of key bureaucrats, politicians and business people through databases, detailed company information from various countries of the world, mutual risk and opportunity analysis of the companies with the sector and country reports including the databases, financial analysis and competing companies, daily information and analysis about the sector in the global markets together with comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports, SWOT analysis, forecasts and market trend analysis.
At the same time, apart from Turkish journals and magazines,it provides access to the comprehensive local and regional news and company information resources, electronic books and academic journals published in the whole world, especially in the USA, UK and Ireland, Germany and China.
The Library aims to be a reference library in the field of economy which can be located amongst modern libraries that provide access to the most up-to-date resources at world scale.
