Interlibrary Loan Service Rules (ILL Service)

Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL) is the provision of information resources, not available in the Library collection of our Ministry, from other institutions depending on the lending rules of these institutions. Ministry staff can benefit from interlibrary cooperation.

Requests for information resources not available in the library are made online by completing the ILL Book Request Form on our website, and requests made from the library are not processed.

Before requesting ILL service, the user checks the requested publication whether or not available on the Economy Library catalogue.

Books and article requests with missing bibliographic information are reported to the requestor and processed after the missing information is completed. Books and articles whose bibliographic information can not be completed and whose existence is unknown in any institution are notified to the  requestor and cancelled.

Users requesting extension for publications received by ILL Service may request extension 3 days before due date. However, the number of sources loaned from other institutions and lending period  and extension of resources depends on the ILL  policy of the lender.

Publications received with ILL requests must be received and returned from the library between 09:30 - 17:30 on weekdays. Publications are delivered by the responsible librarian to the  reader by telephone or e-mail when they reach the library.

Periodicals, rare books, reference sources, shortdated loaned books, reference materials and audiovisual materials can not be loaned.

Requested books are sent by cargo from other libraries. Expenses such as mail and cargo for the mentioned service will be met by the reader.

The use of theses is also limited by copyrights. Theses can be scanned to the extent permitted by the author.
